Gift Aid Explained
Learn how you can boost your donation by 25% at no extra cost to yourself, and fund the House of Allah.
What is Gift Aid?
Gift Aid is a UK government scheme that allows ALBERR Foundation UK to claim back the basic rate tax already paid on donations by the donor. This means we can claim an extra 25p for every £1 you give. It won't cost you an extra penny.
Impact Example
A Special Thank You to Our Gift Aid Donors
By adding Gift Aid to your donation, you provide ALBERR Foundation with valuable additional funding at no extra cost to you. This helps us cover our administration and operational expenses, enabling 100% of your original donation to be directed to the charitable cause.
Gift Aid income also helps us undertake additional charitable activities where needed and fund international monitoring and due-diligence visits, allowing our team to oversee projects on the ground, strengthen accountability, verify how funds are being used, and ensure your donations are making the intended impact.
How does it work?
When you donate, simply tick the Gift Aid box on the checkout form and provide your full name and home address. We will then handle the claim with HMRC. It's that simple!
Am I eligible?
To qualify for Gift Aid, you must pay income tax or capital gains tax in the UK in that tax year that is at least equal to the amount of tax that all the charities you donate to will reclaim on your gifts for that tax year.
* Other taxes such as Council Tax and VAT do not count as Income Tax.
